For those touched by the profound pain of suicide loss, grief can feel like an unending journey—one filled with overwhelming emotions, moments of isolation, a sense of disconnection from the world around them. It is a sorrow that often defies words, leaving survivors struggling to articulate their pain or to reconnect with the flow of everyday life. In the face of such immense heartache, how can survivors of suicide loss navigate this challenging and deeply personal journey toward healing and reconnection?
This year, Samaritans of Singapore is observing International Survivors of Suicide Loss Day (ISOS Loss Day) with a meaningful event titled, “Beyond Words: Navigating Pathways of Grief”. This special gathering offers survivors a compassionate space to come together, grieve, and honour their loved ones in a supportive community.
Through thoughtfully designed workshops that explore creative and alternative ways of processing grief, participants will have the opportunity to share their experiences, find connections with others who have faced similar loss, and discover new pathways toward healing.
