SOS conducts a range of talks and workshops on suicide prevention, intervention and postvention to equip the participants with knowledge and skills that can be applied in their respective areas of work and personal lives.


TRaining for professionals

  • Gatekeepers Intervention Skills Workshop (GISW)

    Suitable for social work assistants, counsellors, social service staff, health care professionals, caregivers and anyone who may come in contact with persons at risk of suicide.

In this school edition, SOS is reaching out to students, teachers and school counsellors through a special series of talks and trainings, designed to raise awareness about the importance of emotional wellbeing, as well as impart the necessary knowledge and skills to attend and provide support during difficult times.




Awareness Talks and Training for the community

  • Suicide Awareness Talk (SAT)

A 1-1.5hr information & awareness session that aims to raise participants' awareness about suicide, and the warning signs to look out for.

A customised talk for elderly in Mandarin to inform them of the different avenues they can seek help, especially those in their own neighbourhood. It also provides information on how to look out for, and support, one another.
